ResidentPosition Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and
experienced Senior Full Stack/Machine Learning Developer to be
responsible for designing and building scalable solutions that
optimize performance for business applications. This role requires
a passion for cutting-edge technology and a focus on innovative
problem solving for operational challenges faced by government
agencies. This role offers an opportunity to transform outdated,
manual processes into efficient, technology-driven solutions.
Knowledge of and experience developing AI/ML models is highly
desired as this team seeks to optimize and enhance FNS initiatives
and operations using ML frameworks where applicable.You will be a
key player in designing, developing and deploying innovative
business applications. The developer will collaborate with internal
engineering teams and partner IT leads to analyze existing systems,
assess key areas of improvement and implement modern technology
solutions to meet business needs. Additionally, the role may
require developing responsive web applications, APIs, and
integrating data visualization tools for real-time insights.
Proficiency in both relational and NoSQL databases, along with
modern front-end and back-end frameworks is highly desirable. You
must have a commitment to following SDLC best practices and a
desire to deliver high quality, maintainable code.Key
Responsibilities:
- Develop scalable, user-friendly web applications using modern
front-end and back-end frameworks: React, Python, Java, C#.
- Design and implement APIs and web services to support
data-driven applications and analytics platforms.
- Participate in pilot initiatives, particularly in government or
public sector environments.
- Design and implement scalable relational and NoSQL database
solutions to meet business requirements.
- Implement data-driven solutions using ML frameworks to address
complex business challenges in food assistance program
optimization, participant accessibility and automation.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and
functions for data retrieval and reporting.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines for data extraction,
transformation, and loading across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with data engineers and other stakeholders to
evaluate requirements and translate them into technical
specifications.
- Write clean, well-documented and testable code, participate in
code reviews and contribute to improving development
processes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and emerging
trends in development.Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in application programming and
development.
- Work experience in an Agile environment and development of
associated artifacts.
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana or other similar
tools.
- Experienced in languages such as React, Python, Java, C#.
- Familiarity of natural language processing (NLP), computer
vision, deep learning and other AI techniques.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management processes and best
practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, focusing on human-centered
design and AI/ML applications.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP is
preferred.
- Familiarity with FISMA requirements and development of
associated artifacts.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
and Kubernetes.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Certifications in relevant AI/ML certifications are a plus,
(e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Microsoft AI Engineer,
etc.)Compensation and BenefitsThe projected compensation range for
this position is $114,600 to $147,800 per year benchmarked in the
Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary is $132,700.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative
of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various
factors, including but not limited to role, location, the
combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies,
