TITLE: General Manager - Fine Dining / Upscale LOCATION :
Rockville, MD COMPENSATION : $100-130,000 + Bonus BENEFITS :
Medical, Dental, 401k, PTO, and 5-day work week! POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Upscale Restaurant General Manager to
lead operations at a free-standing restaurant in Rockville, MD.
This role requires a highly skilled hospitality professional with a
deep understanding of luxury dining, impeccable service standards,
and financial acumen. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader
who can drive revenue, cultivate a world-class guest experience,
and inspire a high-performing team in a Michelin-star-level
environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee all daily restaurant
operations, ensuring seamless execution of service in alignment
with fine dining standards. Maintain and enforce world-class
hospitality, ensuring an unforgettable guest experience that
exceeds expectations. Conduct pre-shift meetings and staff training
to ensure seamless service flow and maintain brand excellence.
Monitor guest interactions, promptly addressing concerns and
fostering long-term guest relationships. Collaborate with the
culinary and beverage teams to ensure consistency, quality, and
innovation in menu offerings. Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, hire, and train top-tier hospitality professionals,
fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Motivate and manage front-of-house staff, including servers,
sommeliers, and hosts, ensuring flawless service execution. Conduct
regular performance evaluations, providing coaching, mentoring, and
professional development opportunities. Financial & Business
Strategy Develop and manage the restaurant's budget, monitoring
costs, labor, and revenue to optimize profitability. Analyze sales
reports and customer trends, adjusting strategies to meet revenue
targets and increase guest retention. Oversee inventory control,
ordering, and vendor relationships to ensure operational efficiency
and product quality. Implement and refine marketing, guest loyalty,
and private dining initiatives to drive brand awareness and
increase sales. Compliance & Brand Standards Ensure compliance with
health, safety, and liquor regulations, maintaining a pristine and
legally compliant operation. Oversee maintenance and cleanliness to
uphold the highest standards of restaurant presentation. Act as a
brand ambassador, ensuring that every aspect of the restaurant
reflects its ultra-luxury positioning. REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years of
experience as a General Manager in a fine dining or Michelin-level
restaurant. Significant experience in a free-standing restaurant
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business, or a
related field preferred. Deep knowledge of fine dining service best
practices Strong experience managing P&L, budgets, and cost
controls Proficiency with POS systems (Toast experience a plus).
Ability to drive results in a high-pressure environment while
maintaining poise and professionalism. Flexible schedule (5 day
work week on average, but flexible for occasional nights or
