The Museum Education Specialist supports the National Museum of the
United States Army (NMUSA) by providing programmatic support to the
Experiential Learning Center (ELC). Works in the interactive museum
and learning center designed to educate visitors, and particularly
young people, about the history and culture of the United States
Army and its many contributions to our country. The Experiential
Learning Center (ELC) offers a unique and immersive learning space
for all visitors to develop skills and have fun with Geography,
Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (GSTEM) through education
and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) learning programs.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following.Other

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one (1) year of teaching
experience in a classroom, museum, or historic site teaching
individuals between the ages of five (5) to eighteen (18) years
old.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly
required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or
feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate
tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear.
Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or
crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and
occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to
general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
