Job Description
X-energy is seeking professionals to join our Finance and Business Operations team in the role of Associate, Corporate Development. This position will be responsible for working directly with the senior leadership team and the Board of Directors on all aspects of strategic finance and corporate management. Responsibilities will include financial and analytical support for the management team for new and existing projects. Of primary importance is capital formation, M&A, and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to team's views on deep decarbonization, energy markets & public policy debates, capital allocation, and strategic partnerships.
  
• Collaborate with senior leadership to tackle the variety of new challenges faced by a growing energy transition company.
  
• Build cogent financial models in Excel and concise presentations in PowerPoint.
  
• Help senior leadership develop and refine business models across all P&Ls.
  
• Play a key part in driving the culture of a rapidly growing, high performing organization.
  
• Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  
• Perform other duties as necessary.
  
  
  Minimum Education/Qualifications
  
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of work experience in private equity, project finance, investment banking, development, and/or the power/energy/infrastructure sectors.
    
  • Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint experience (expert level skills)
    
  • Strong finance and analytical abilities as well as strong financial modeling capabilities.
    
  • Must have the right to work and remain in the U.S. without sponsorship.
    
  • Ability to travel for business purposes.

    Work Site Expectations: Onsite
    Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm ET, Mon-Fri
    
    Compensation
    
    As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.
    
    A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is:
    $100,000 to $126,500
