Job Description
X-energy is seeking professionals to join our Global Business Development team in the role of Senior Director, International Market Development & Policy. This role plays a critical leadership role at X-energy by enabling a strategic approach to international engagements and is responsible for shaping international markets, developing customer opportunities, and shaping domestic and international policies that facilitate the deployment of X-energy's technologies. The role will directly contribute to solidifying X-energy's long-term order book by driving market development, policy initiatives, and fostering key global relationships that support the company's strategic growth in international markets.

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive the development of market strategies to promote X-energy's technologies in international markets. Shape market conditions to create and capture customer opportunities for X-energy.
• Lead the creation and implementation of policies to engage with both U.S. and foreign governments.
• Develop initiatives that promote market conditions and policies for the deployment of X-energy technologies.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with international industry organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), think tanks, and international governmental organizations to further the company's market objectives.
• Represent X-energy in non-proliferation policy forums and initiatives, ensuring the company's interests are effectively advocated in global discussions regarding nuclear technology deployment.
• Engage relevant congressional and executive branch departments in national security and foreign policy issues impacting X-energy's business objectives
• Support and lead efforts to engage with international financing organizations and institutions to secure financial backing and create opportunities for X-energy projects on a global scale.
• Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
  
  Minimum Job Qualifications:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in international affairs, economics, finance, business, engineering, or physical sciences.
  • Typically, seventeen years of general work experience. A minimum of ten years of experience in international market development and/or policy engagement.
  • Strong understanding of international markets, policy development, and non-proliferation issues related to energy technologies, specifically in nuclear energy.
    
    Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD
    Work Site Expectations: 5 days a week in office
    
    Travel Expectations: up to 40% as needed (domestic and international)
    Hours: Standard office hours are 8:00am-5:00pm ET, Mon-Fri
    
    Compensation
    
    As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.
    
    A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is:
    $167,480 to $279,134. The compensation for this position is comprised of base salary plus an annual short-term incentive which is variable, based on scope of responsibility and achievement of goals.
